Earthvisionz is a location intelligence software company located in Boulder, Colorado. I worked throughout my senior year as the marketing and social media cordinator. The marketing side of my position at Earthvisionz required me to look over press releases, find contacts at online and print publications to send the press releases too and determine best practices of competitors and clients. Researching other blogs and websites helped me develop a media plan that would expand Earthvisionz’s reach and marketing ability. I also was able to work with various Adobe softwares, including Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop. I planned out, filmed and edited an informational video and created three infographics from scratch for the sales team. I also used my writing abilities to craft almost a dozen articles for the company’s website. The social media aspect of my position focused mainly on Twitter. Through research, I was able to find the best practices for tweeting, and subsequently, increased the company’s Twitter traffic and engagement. Over the eight months running the Twitter account, the amount of tweet impressions increased by almost 400% and profile visits increased by over 8,000%, compared to the previous eight months. This data has been exported and saved.
